The author wrote in the article：

‘The head was a pointillist composition of tiny dots and fragments of colour that dissolved into an abstraction as you got closer.’

I analyzed the dotted structure of Jesus' head in the painting.

I used some interesting materials to try to imitate the structure of the head of Jesus in the article. I mixed glycerin, gelatin powder with water, heated and stirred, then added food coloring, and then used a straw to blow bubbles frantically, and waited for the materials to dry. Has a lot of great texture

Production process video

Through experiments, I got a lot of interesting material textures and great patterns. The textures of these materials are very similar to the texture of Jesus’ head.
