I deconstructed and reconstructed some very interesting shapes that I captured on the island to get the patterns I needed.
Graphical sheet music experiments
I found a lot of very interesting symbols on the island, the most iconic of which is a row of trapezoidal stone pillars that must be passed on the way to Cramond Island. These pillars are shot in a straight line, some of which are intact, others have broken and become incomplete, some broken and some fallen east and west. But it was these seemingly neat but somewhat different forms caught my attention, and they looked like some kind of mysterious symbols to me. I recorded their forms and transformed them into a part of my graphic score.
Then I found many other interesting shapes and arrangements on the island, which I deconstructed and reorganized to obtain many symbolic patterns
I deconstructed and reorganized these symbols to create some graphic scores.
I love to lie in the grass on the island and quietly listen to the wonderful sounds of the island. So I recorded my form on the island and also turned it into some kind of symbolic graphic.
